Number porting is free
Your phone number matters, whether it's been the family landline for decades or it's printed on your vans. When you join us, we'll move (port) it across at no charge, for homes and businesses. Businesses can port single numbers or whole number ranges.
How porting works
- Tell us your number(s) and who your current provider is.
- We handle the request. We arrange the port with your current provider and agree a switch date with you.
- Switch day. Your number moves to your new digital line. Calls keep coming through.
Most UK geographic numbers can be ported. In rare cases a number can't be moved; we'll tell you before you commit.
No home internet?
You can still keep your number. Port it to the Your Communications VoIP app and make and receive landline calls on your smartphone, over mobile data or any Wi-Fi. The app needs a compatible smartphone.
Already have broadband from someone else?
Our digital phone works over any provider's broadband connection, for homes and businesses. You don't need to get your broadband from us.
Will my existing phone work?
Many corded and cordless phones work with a digital line by plugging into your router's phone port. If yours doesn't, we'll talk you through the options.
